I would love to help the creator of this site to get others in Utah to gather here. I am also hoping to meet others who have turned their love of scrapbooking into jobs-I am espically interested in becoming a consultant-just not sure what companies are here in utah.

Hi Jess...No I haven't decided but I am going to the scrapbk fair/expo in st. george this weekend and hoping to meet others in the business. My biggest fear is w/ the state of affairs I will pour $'s into starting a biz then not make any money...lol yes very common fear I know as I have ran my own business in the past but it was a service biz not a hobby biz.
Where are you located? I am in Cedar City...thanks for responding.

I was thinking about going to the expo as well... sort of a mini vacation for me. But I would be going alone and while i am so ok with that hubby keeps giving me the I dont think so look hehe.

I am at the other end of the state, Granger area.

I know what you mean about the money I did Mary Kay for a while. I never did keep much on hand just never enough money. I think the key to the at home scrapbook business is to do classes. My SIL is part of a Kit club they get together once a months and the hostess(the one with the business) brings the supplies and they bring there tools. They pay 15 a month and they make different things. Pages, cards, home decor ect. The same SIL dose close to my heart and they have done away with the ordering minimums I am guessing that others will soon follow suite that might help you get things up and running. I have a friend who goes to a crop every moths. It is her sisters and some close friends and they can all bring whoever they want . They rotate houses each month. They also have a consultant that comes and brings a few things like adhesives things that people might run out of. And she offers a kit each month for those who want to do it. You just have to let her know before that night so she can get it together. Depending on the turnaround time of the company you chose you might want to go mostly orders and not overstock to much. That is where most people get into trouble. :?

You should have tons of fun at the expo. I have been to the one in SLC and it is a blast! Plan on going all day there is a lot to see and do.

Oh look at me I have turned into a chatty Cathy. Sorry... probaly more info than you wanted LOL

Jess
